a) New Zealand is located south and to the east of Australia. It is one of the closest countries to Antarctica. New Zealand is also in the south Pacific Ocean.

b) The size of New Zealand is 267,710 km, which is 3.3% the size compared to the U.S.

c) There are two main islands that make up New Zealand. South Island is more mountainous with steeper terrain and an abundance of rivers. North Island is flatter with more grasslands and not as much rivers. To the west of New Zealand is the Tasman Sea, but there are not really any big lakes.
